Welding

Our welding equipment "Miller Syncrowave" is the "Rolls Royce" of TIG welders available on the market, capable of welding any of the Refractory metals of any thickness required. This machine has an output of 315amps. We mainly specialize in the welding of Tantalum, Molybdenum, Tungsten, Niobium and Zirconium for parts that we manufacture and supply to our customers from their own drawings but are able to offer a welding service for any free issue metal that you need welded.

The vacuum chamber is pumped down to a high vacuum of 10-3Mb and then filled with Argon to create an atmosphere of >5ppm of Oxygen to stop any oxidization occurring, especially in Tantalum which is very susceptible to attack by Oxygen. Our chamber has an inside diameter of 900mm and length of 1200mm. We can offer a same day “weld and despatch” service on any urgent repair that may be required.
